CV Guillermo Marshall

Guillermo Marshall is  Professor and Head of the Complex System Laboratory, Computer Science Department, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires, and Principal Career Investigator at the National Research Council of Argentina. He received his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Buenos Aires and his M. Sc. (Engineering) and Ph. D. (Engineering) degrees from the University of Delft in the Netherlands. His previous positions include: Guest Investigator at the Rockefeller University and Research Associate at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (NYU). He was Visiting Scholar or Professor at Department of Mathematics, University of California, Berkeley; Physique Theorique, University of Geneva; Ecole Polytechnique at Palaiseau, France; Center for Nonlinear Dynamics, Department of Physics, University of Texas, Austin; Chemistry and Physics Departments, Drexel University, Philadelphia, Cornell Theory Center, Cornell University; Informatique, Universite de Geneve, Physical Chemistry Department, Universitat de Barcelona;  Physics and Astronomy and School of Mathematics Departments, University of Manchester, UK; and  Trinity College, Dublin. He is the author or co-author of over 200 publications including 4 books. His present research interests include computational complex systems in the life sciences and parallel computation in distributed systems. He is a Fulbright Scholar and a recipient of a Thalmann fellowship from the University of Buenos Aires.
